Nutritious Apple, Kale and Carrot Juice Recipe

Hey lovelies! I have recently gotten back on a health kick and I wanted to share a delicious and nutritious juice recipe with you. This recipe is a great way to sneak in your greens if you don't like the taste of vegetables like me.It is also another way to cut out processed foods, which honestly is so hard to do.

Ingredients
4-8 carrots (depending on how much juice you want)
2 apples
1 cup of kale or spinach

What to do:
Rinse your carrots and chop off the top and bottom, but do not peel, there is fibre from the skin, which give it a better nutritional value.
Rinse and remove core from the apples and again don't peel. Don't worry it tastes exactly the same with the skin.
Rinse the kale or spinach.
Place all ingredients in your juicer and juice! No, a blender is not the same as a juicer, it will be thick like a smoothie and is not a juice.
*Investing in a good juicer is actually a good idea, My parents got one as a gift. You can juice anything really!

That's it! I really hope you guys try this recipe, it tastes delish and you know whats in it. Adding sugar just ruins its natural taste, just enjoy the natural sugars of the apples!
If you guys make this juice, tag me in a photo on instagram or twitter with the hastag #honeyforbee

Eat raw, exercise regularly and keep an open mind!

Inspiration.

I am well aware that I have been horrible keeping up with this blog and blogging in general. But I felt like it was time to be inspired again. Pick up where I left of. The recent months have been nothing but an up hill battle with myself and sometimes I felt like I wanted to shut down myself. Blogging to me no longer felt like something I love. And instead of keeping promises and making up excuses, I felt the need to take a break, a longer break than expected but it was well needed. I won't be sticking to a schedule, I'll just post content that I think is enjoyable to read and somewhat useful.

I feel like a better person, recently went back to try and live a heathier lifestyle. I gave myself a personality and gave this blog a whole new look and name. I am truly sorry for disappearing, I just wanted some time for myself, and because of that I have plenty of ideas for future content.

Have a nice day!

Procrastination.

Hello lovelies!
Its been a while. A long while. As much as I love to blog and procrastinate all the time into little useless things, thats not the reason I haven't blogged. I left ya'll hanging. Without a single trace. I kept telling myself I'll do it tomorrow. That becomes next week. Then that becomes next month. I love writing down thoughts and scenarios in my head, but in the end, I abandon them.

There's a controversy over laziness. "It's disease-ridden" my auntie would say. I would call it a temporary hiatus. You drift away from the world, let all the useless things get in the way. You become a person you're not. You suffer, maybe? No? Yes? Whatever the answer, bet you, that you were to lazy to rethink about it.

Today's blog post isn't fashion, beauty or even lifestyle. Just thoughts, that's all there is too it. You can waste more of your time reading this, decide that you'll stop. But the chances are you won't. Now that your this far into reading this little interesting blog post, I want to talk about some more serious things, well they're serious to me. A lot happens in a couple months. Good and bad. But you have to decide which one's which. I have a few announcements...

.....Laura isn't doing the blog anymore......Zahra hasn't been re-inspired to write anything....I've been wallowing in self pity as a form of procrastination. Those all my announcements.

Thanks for taking the time to read this. I appreciate it. Hey, at least I'm procrastinating the effort of packing for Florida. I'll keep you guys posted.
XOXO

Experimental Oatmeal

woke up this morning feeling extremely peckish for something savoury and sweet. It had to be filling but the portion shouldn't be a huge amount. I usaully go for some fried eggs and my favourite chai tea, but today I felt experimental. I ended up with this delicious oatmeal recipe for you to try.
Ingredients:
3/4 cup whole milk or almond milk. (I used almond for a bit more sweetness)
1/2 oatmeal (I used an organic brand called "McCann"
1/2 a banana for texture
Honey for drizzling
Cinnamom for a bit of spice
2-3 strawberries to garnish

I started with the milk and I poured it into a saucepan, waited for it to simmer then I added the oatmeal. When it was almost done, I added half a banana for as a sweetner and to add a texture.
I scooped it onto a plate, drizzled some honey, sprinkle some cinnamon and garnished with some strawberries!

It tastes so good and you can sneak in your 5-a-day fruit into it! Its quick, easy and delish! I hope you guys try this recipe out!

What's on my phone

Hello darlings,
So last week I got the Iphone 5s (about time) and I love it. It's my first apple product so I'm very cautious of where I put it, you know how easy it is for them to break.
Anyways I'm just gonna talk about the some of the apps that I have and that I would recommend to you.

Social Apps:
Vine- Everyone needs a good laugh.

Viber- I'm broke and low on credit and so are all my other friends, so we have Viber.

Instagram- I must have Instagram, people need to know what I've been eating, no but honestly, I love Instagram, also I love photography so it's nice having a place to post my pictures.

Twitter- I need a place to post up my thoughts.

Snapchat- I don't even snap anyone back yet I still have the app.

Skype- Video calls from relatives -.-

Youtube- I NEED YOUTUBE!....without it I would just die. Btw I might start making youtube videos.

Tumblr- What goes up on my tumblr blog is a secret......

9gag- Once again we all need a laugh.

Blogger- For blogers on the go or if I'm too lazy to turn on my laptop.

Photography Apps:
Retrica- Gives you beautiful retro filters but down side is that if you want to edit photos in your album you have to pay for the pro version.

Rookie- Really nice vintage filters.

InstaEffect- Adds really bright effects onto your pic.

PicCollage- Everyone needs an app to make cute collages.

Fotor- Best app out of everything. I even have it on my laptop.

Camera360- It's also one of the best apps, but I haven't tried it out yet.

Capture- It's for youtube videos, I haven't tried it out yet. Bianca suggested this to me so I downloaded it. Hopefully when I start making youtube videos I'll use it.

Games:
CandyCrush- How can anyone not have it!

PetRescue- It's addicting

FarmHerosOkay what's up with games produced by 'King', they're like drugs you get addicted to them and then you're trying to find different types but in a way they're all similar.

TempleRun2- I'm amazing at this game and when your good at a game you keep it no matter how old and irrelevant it is.

QuizUp- It's nice proving to random strangers that you're good at answering weird questions that aren't gonna get you anywhere in life.

Lifestyle:
P.D- Us girls need to keep track.

DreamMoods- Ever dream about something really odd and you're wondering what it means, well this app provides a wide range of topics that you could have dreamed of and what they mean.

Horoscope- Yes I'm the type to believe in horoscopes and bizarre as it sounds its always true, like everytime, always!

Reference;
Pages- This is what I had to use when 'word' on my laptop decided to be a scab and not work

Music:
Itube- It was good, but you can't cache now with the new update.

MusicDownloader- Once again I'm broke.

Garageband-It's fun messing around with instruments that you don't have a clue to play.

Well that's some of what's on my phone. I highly recommend you download these apps.
Hope you have a wonderful week.

Bye for now xxx

Lush Prince Charming Shower Gel Review

Hello pretties,
I got this new shower gel from lush called Prince Charming, and I just had to talk about how amazing it is.

So we all know in lush you can choose between fruity or sweet, but I wanted something that was inbetween. I ended up buying this one and I have no regrets. (Note that is was a limited edition)

This is what is written on the bottle
"with marshmallow root, fair trade vanilla and fresh pomegranate juice, Prince Charming will sweep you off your feet and carry you off into the sunset, leaving your skin silky soft and smelling lovely."

I absolutely love the name, it's adorable and when you apply the shower gel on your skin, you honestly feel like royality is gonna come your way and leave you with a happy ending.

It smells divine. I really wish that you readers could smell it through your screen but technology hasn't evolved by that much -.- I honestly can't describe how wonderful it's smells. It's a combo of vanilla, pomegranate and marshmallow. Just imagine how good it is!

Well that's all I can say but I highly recommend people to buy it.

One more thing,
I love the fact that lush fight agenst animal testing.

Lush is really Eco-friendly and I have to say they make amazing products. I didn't even want to leave the shop because everything smelled so good. I think I'll buy a ton of random lush products and place them around the house.

Burgundy with Hints of Velvet

 Hey y'all!
So the weather in Ireland has been depressing, but you know what? I'll post anyway. And I know its late.

Lately I've been on a photo-taking kick and I wanted to start a new series. So I thought "why not combine the two?" I don't know what to call this series yet and this shows you what I've been through during the week or last 2 weeks. I don't know how often I'm gonna do this sort of post, but we'll see.
Everyday Makeup
Spring tutorial.

I am currently editing 2 tutorials for y'all. My everyday makeup and a spring makeup. So anticipate that. I literally have to buy a better camera because my photos are either a) blurry b) crappy.

During the week I went to Primark and they are really hitting bull's eye with their crop tops and shirts. They were too cute to not take a picture. I must've looked like a weirdo in the store. These are just 3 that I thought were the nicest. I bought the My Little Pony one because I'm a brony like that. And because it was only 6 euros!

On Friday, Mango (laura) and I decided to go to the local shopping centre because we knew it was Valentine's day and we are both single and are potatoes. We decided why not just spend the day with one of your best friends? So we did and holy cow was there a huge crowd of hormonal acne teenages hanging around the cinema! There were so many people I knew and disliked. I felted judged and out of place. In the bright side I got a velvet playsuit for only 3 euros. Happy days!

Here was the playsuit I was talking about.  This was my OOTD for Sunday evening. Went to a party and decided to go rock edgy.
- Velvet playsuit: Primark
-Burgundy crop top: Hot Topic
-Lion Necklace: Gifted by Bestie; Claire's
-Black ankle wedges: River Island.

That was my week! Hope you had a nice one as well. This was suppose to be a short post. But what are you going to do?
Tell me in the comments what was the highlight of your week. Don't forget to keep in contact with us!

p.s like the new blog layout?
XOXO,
Bee.

How to Make your Own Dreamcatcher

Hello darlings xx
I'm terribly sorry that I haven't been posting these past two months. I've been going through some very personal things that are hard for me to mention but from now on, I'll try my best to post as regularly :)

Is it just me or do dream catchers have a magical aspect to them? I love them. I used to have two when I was younger, they were hung up onto my ceiling along with fairy lights and stars, so when you looked up it seemed as if you were looking up at the night sky.

Anyways I'm gonna show you how to make your own dream catcher!

Step 1
Get a hoop like this:

Then get some ribbon and wrap it around the hoop and when you get to the top make a knot.

Step 2

Get some type of thread (I used embroidery thread) and make patterns with it starting from the outer side of the hoop and start going in and out of the thread, kinda like this:

There are many different patterns you can try, look some up and learn to do the one you like best.

You can also use lace, which makes it look really pretty.

Step 3
To make your dream catcher look like an actual dream catcher, you have to have feathers and beads.
You can add them to the web of the hoop or can have them dangling down from the hoop.
Step 4
Make sure you're happy with what you've made and hang it up!

You can also make dream catcher bracelets, necklaces, earrings, charms etc.
I made a keychain. I know it's not the best but it was my first and I'm proud.

Well, that's all it takes to make a dream catcher. Email us some pics if you've tried to make your own.
Goodbye darlings xxx

Sunday Couch Potato : Pip-pip Doodlely do!

Hey! Long time since a post. I really have no excuse. Usually I'm consistent with posts and we always plan our posts but January was a month I needed for myself. I wanted to quickly fill you in on what happened so far this year.

I wanted change. Happiness, don't we all? I wanted to change mentally, emotionally, socially and physically. I stuck to my resolutions and punished myself when I broke a few (damn you procrastination!) In the past month, I guessed I slightly matured. I was always putting people's needs in front of mine and I just wanted to be a little selfish for once. I changed in some ways but stayed the same in others. I need space basically; to be alone for a while.

I did. I became independent, not relaying on my friends, well not all the time, I kinda stopped talking to a few people because I knew they wouldn't understand. I have choices too! They needed to accept this.

I think I'm a stronger person now, in a really good way. My anxiety, I can talk about it more openly. Not so much in detail because its still personal, but in a way, I'm more trusting. And independent. At the same time.

I really wanted to post for a while now but I didn't find the time or something came up. I also became sick and right now I'm on the sofa supposedly studying for 4 exams this week. Curse you mid-terms! Don't worry though, after this week I'll post more regularly.

That's all.

Pip-pip doodley do!
If Y'all know what's that from, comment down below!

MKay. bye!

Okay seriously bye.

What's in store for Jan/Feb?

Hey y'all!
It's been a good year for Kaleidoscope, but the past is in the past. We have some recent updates that we'd like you to know. So Let's get started!

As some of you may know, we actually only started our blog on Blogger recently. We used to use the web-hosting site Wix.com . But after careful planning and consideration, we decided to move. So this is the new-but old blog, Inspired Notebook!

So another thing that is pretty big for us is that we will be doing some collabs with other blogs. This is really exciting and we will hopefully post this later this month or early February. So since we have a new name, site and will be doing new posts like more fashion and lifestyle. We might even be doing some videos! Hopefully this  will be a good start to the new year. The next posts will be about change, out new things and all that jazz.

I really hope 2014 is a good new for us. If you have any suggestions please comment below.
XOXO Bee.

Goodbye Anxiety and Stress!

Hello there everybody! My name is Bianca and I cannot believe 2014 is already here in Europe! I am literally freaking out! Usually, I post about beauty, fashion etc. But today I wanted a fresh start. I know everybody says that at the beginning of the year, but I actually mean it. I wanted to start this year with a jump-start!

When I look at last year, there were so many oppurtunities that I didnt do or I decided to ignore. I was kidda getting bored with my life & I felt like I needed something that would get me excited again. I got new hobbies, new friends, tried out new experiences, but honestly I felt like I wasn't happy with any of them. I have never told anybody about this but I think since its a new year its time for me to come out of my shell. In the past year I had secretly been dealing with panic-attacks and anxiety. I felt so alone and when I went to school, I had to deal with people who would consantly annoy me, when I was already feeling pissed. This mean I went through a lot of mood-swings and I had bad relationships with my family and close friends.

My mood-swings got so bad that one day at home I just freaked out. I was playing with my younger brother and he accidently tipped over my stuff and I ended up shouting at him. I was in a mood, he was in a mood and I just wanted everyone to just leave me alone. I got irritated at the littlest of things and even going to school to face my friends was a challenge. There were times I wanted to come out and just have someone just listen to me, but I was kind of the listener to everyone else. I became indecisive at whether I would talk to my school's guidence consellor, my best friends or my parents. In the end I should have talked to anyone of them, but I didn't. I am literally shaking as I write this down...

By the time October came around, I needed something to get my mind of things like stress, anxiety, panic-attacks, mood-swings etc. So I decided to start of this blog. I had done other blogs before but this time I didn't want to be alone. I then decided to do this with 2 of my good friends Laura and Zahra. And in the end this has become one of the best decisions of 2013 yet! I don't have that many attacks anymore and my anxiety isn't really ruining my life anymore too. I was greatful for everything in 2013, but I can't say it was my best year. So I decide that 2014 will.

So this is why I need a fresh start. And I hope you will join me on my journey.
~Bee. (aka Bianca)

New Year's Resolutions! ~ Zahra

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERBODY!

It's a new year so that means new beginnings.

Here are my new years resolutions:
-Exercise
I say this every year but lets see if I actually do it this year.

-Study more
I honestly have to stop puttig off studying till the very last minute.

-Eat healtier
I really need to cut down on the junk food and all the fast-food food.

-Learn new recipes
This year I want to learn to cook/bake more things than I already can. Also learn to cook healthy meals.

-Take care of plants/flowers
Okay I suck at taking care of plants so when Spring rolls around I want to start gardening and learn how to actually keep a flower alive for longer than 5 days. I think I'll start with a cactus.

-Work more on my hobbies
I realised I haven't been doing the things (hobbies) I used to love all that often and I also want to try out new things this year.

-Try not to judge a book by its cover
In 2013 I met a lot of new people and learnt many things about people I already know. I always have a bad first impression about someone (I don't even know why, I just do) but some how I end up loving that person so in 2014 (and the rest of my life) I want to get to know someone before I jugde them.

-Read more books
Speaking about jugding books, I need to start reading more.

-No more drama
2013 was streesful and I'm sick of drama. I'm gonna keep 2014 drama free (wish me good luck)

-Enjoy the little things in life
Don't rush things and enjoy what's going on around you.

Well that's my new years resolution.
What's your? Comment below

Bye for now xx
-Zahra
